Our bees are Carniolan bees, a sub species of the western honey bee, but native to Eastern Europe. The bees forage hyper locally, centered in Glen Park’s microclimate outward and have a radius of just over a mile. Locally they find lavender, Russian sage, California bay laurel, arugula, wild lilac, wildflowers, rosemary, borage, lemon trees, star thistle, wild blackberry, and in the fall, blue gum eucalyptus.

Wally’s Finest Honey is named after our beloved Cairn Terrier, Wally, who loved spending her days in our backyard “farm.”
